M.A. Whately have been serving clients for over 40 years in the north east of Ireland and beyond. They wanted to combine modern branding with their progressive accountancy practice. Their in-house digital marketing lead had used every CMS under the sun and was keen to combine the practicalities of managing a Webflow site with the unrestricted design scope of designing and developing using Webflow with bybirdy.
When we met and discussed the vision that M.A. Whately had, we knew that they were a forward thinking outfit. They were very aware that the experience and level of service over 40 years has allowed them to build the business they now have, but they truly understood that they have evolved over time to consistently deliver for their clients. So in developing a brand with them, we felt it was important that it displayed strength but incorporated the idea of always moving forward. We chose Gibson as the brand font, it is described as a sturdy contemporary humanist sans serif family and we felt that reflected the vision we both had for the brand. The icon displays characters of both M and A but predominantly presents itself as a W with the arrow design in the top right of the icon pointing both upwards and forwards - which generally works well when accountants are looking at profits for their clients.
With the branding in place, we discussed the endless design opportunities that the blank canvas of Webflow brought to the table without the need for much coding. We here at bybirdy have been using Webflow for over 2 years now and we are blown away by both the design capabilities and the performance of Webflow sites we deliver. For M.A. Whately we delivered a really crisp, clean website with UX design front and centre. The customer journey was designed together and we just love how the website has turned out.
