New brand identity for The Ivy Skin & Laser

Sparkle Beauty moved to a state-of-the-art premises, designed from scratch to deliver everything a high-end skin and beauty premises needed. With this move, they wanted a new brand identity to match their new luxurious premises. Working with the client on possible names and suitable supporting text and taglines, we worked through a number of ideas and concepts before settling on The Ivy Skin & Laser. It was important that the brand had a premium feel with a scientific edge - backing up the focus on high quality skincare brands as well as the latest laser technology installed in the new premises.

As part of the new brand identity, we wanted to have a number of brand colours represented in the logo and supporting collateral but we felt it was very important that the branding was extremely flexible across many colours and uses. From signage, to bags, to digital, to decorative wrapping and the ability for the logo to be both functional and fashionable, depending on the individual use.

The font chosen was Futura PT. Futura was originally designed in 1927 by Paul Renner for Bauer company. It has been adapted for many uses since and as a sans serif face based on geometrical shapes, we felt that the crisp, clean lines fitted well with the brief. When considering the luxurious feel of the new brand, it's important to note that Futura was used as inspiration for minimal logotype projects for fashion designers Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana. The Ivy Skin & Laser Clinic is in good company.
